At the Puyallup

This past Friday, Dave and I took the day off of work to take the kids to the Puyallup Fair.  Neither one of us deals well with crowds, especially with two toddlers, so we thought it would be better to try it during the week!  And, to top it off, it was the first day of Fall, so it was a festive way to celebrate the changing of the seasons.  We even lucked out with beautiful sunny weather!

This was our first time taking the kids to the fair.  It was a different experience from the last time we had been.  I had to skip the Extreme Scream and the roller coasters this time.  Instead we got to spend the majority of our visit in Sillyville (kids area).

Here are some highlights from our visit:

Kate in front of the giant pumpkins

 Momma pig and her babies!

I had to see it to believe it.  But I didn't witness anyone actually eat any.

Kate and Jack on a car ride.  Jack was crying by the time it was over.

Kate on another car ride.  Jack opted to sit this one out.

Mommy & Kate on the giant slide (at least I got to do one ride).

Daddy & the kids riding the train

 Kate on the canoe ride

Kate with her sand creature that she made

Jack at the petting zoo (Kate chose to opt out of this one - different kids, different fears)

Bunny

Baby ducks

Goat

We made it 3 whole hours before it was clear that we were ALL DONE!  We stopped off at the Ram for lunch before heading home for nap time!  Can't wait to do it again next year!
