Uncle Josh and Fall Fun

We just wrapped up a fun-filled weekend visit with my brother (aka Uncle Josh).  He recently celebrated his 40th birthday and as part of the festivities, planned a trip out here to attend the CU vs. UW football game.  He arrived here on Thursday evening and the kids were super excited to see him at the airport.  In fact Jack, who is normally momma's boy, wanted nothing to do with me for the rest of the evening.  He only wanted Josh.  On Friday, Dave took Josh golfing at Newcastle which was his main gift from us.  Luckily the weather held out and they didn't get poured on.  Friday night, Grandma Cecile invited us all over for a nice dinner and we topped it off with an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins, complete with mint chocolate chip ice cream - one of Josh's favorites!

Saturday we were off to the game while Cecile watched the kids.  Once again, we lucked out and got good weather.  It was a little chilly, but much better than rain.  Unfortunately for Josh, CU had a horrible game and got killed by UW.  But we still had a good time and Dave didn't seem to mind (as he proudly sported his UW hat).

After the game, we went over to Bellevue and had a great dinner at Earl's and then saw "Ides of March" before heading back to pick up the kids from Grandma's house.

Today we spent the morning at Thomasson Family Farm in Enumclaw.  The kids had all kinds of fun on tractors, jumping in corn, playing in hay and petting the animals.

We ran out of time to pick out pumpkins at the farm because we had to get Josh to the airport.  We were sad to see him go and hope we can see him again very soon.

After we saw him off and Jack woke up from his nap, we visited a different pumpkin patch in the area to get our pumpkins.

We now have a porch full of pumpkins and two little punkins sleeping soundly in their beds.
