Father's Day

For Father's Day this year I decided to take us on a little adventure.  We had never been to Vashon Island which is just a short ferry ride from West Seattle.  So I booked us reservations for brunch at a restaurant on the island.  After getting up and watching Daddy open all of his gifts, we hopped in the car and drove to the ferry dock in West Seattle.  The ferry ride only took 20 minutes but it still gave the kids some time to go up top and check out the scenery.  They like looking for jelly fish.

Our reservations were at a place called The Hardware Store.  It is a restaurant located in the building where the old Vashon Hardware Company was located over 120 years ago.  Very cool place and great food!

After eating we decided to explore a bit.  We went down to the shore to look for shells, little crabs & other creatures.

On the way back to the ferry terminal, we stopped at a playground for a little bit.

Then we got back on the ferry to head home so Dave could watch the last day of the US Open golf tournament on TV.

We had a very fun time on Vashon and a great day celebrating a wonderful dad!
