Getting Crafty

A couple of weekends ago we went to the monthly kids' workshop at our local Home Depot.  The first Saturday of every month they host a project that kids can come in and make for free.  This was our first time giving it a try and it was a lot of fun.  The kids got to build their own wooden cars.

They get to keep their aprons and they earn pins for each project they complete.  Pretty cool!

Last night we had make your own pizzas for dinner.  Jack did a great job assembling his pizza!  He really enjoys helping out in the kitchen.  Perhaps we have a future chef on our hands - taking after his Grandma Cecile or my Cousin Eric, but certainly not me!

Today the kids got to go to a birthday party for one of Kate's friends from school.  It was held at a pottery painting studio.  So they each got to paint a piece of pottery.  Kate chose a soccer ball bank and Jack chose a police car.

So far it has been a very crafty month!
